I have just returned from a fantastic week at this hotel with my partner and my parents.
We chose this hotel as we were going away to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday - it was the perfect choice.
When you arrive at the hotel the entrance and reception area is grand and takes your breath away. The check in was easy and a porter took our cases to our rooms.
Our rooms were on the first floor (reception is on -2), and were on the side of the hotel. The rooms over looked the mini golf and had a side mountain and side sea view.
Rooms were really big and very luxurious, bed was most comfortable I have slept in. The room was equipped with a safe (small charge in reception) tv and a mini bar which was open and empty for your use. The tv had 4 of the uk channels bbc1, bbc2, itv and channel 4 aswell as the normal news channels and Eurosport! Bathroom was large with his and hers sinks large bath and shower, hotel provides the normal toiletries and was restocked every time you used them.
Breakfast was served from 7:30 each morning, huge breakfast buffet with your usual bacon, sausage, egg, beans etc... Big selection of pastries, breads and fruits. There were chefs cooking fresh omelettes and crepes each day as well as smoothies.
We were half board so also had evening meals, again large selection of foods different every night. Some themed nights too I.e Mexican and italian. Every night chefs cooked fresh meat and fish, and there was a fresh pasta bar where the chefs cooked to order. For the more fussy eater there was always something with pizza, chips etc every night. Also very good selection of salads and soups as starters. Desserts were different each night also and always ice cream available.
Waiting staff were pleasant and always willing to help top 5 star service.
We used the pool bar once for lunch and food was also very good and fairly reasonable.
The entertainment in the hotel was ok, not really enough room for people to sit to be able to see the shows that were held in a circular area next to the bar area in reception. Different entertainment each night and we watched a few acts but nothing special.
The pool area is fabulous with the 4 pools and the rooftop sub terrace, amazing views of the sea and the mountains from the roof. Always plenty of room around the pool and towels provided free by the hotel.
There is a heated pool, but babies pool was the warmest by far - like a bath!
We used the excursion lady in the reception area to book a trip to puerto de la cruz and teide. Both worth it but bus was late both days - trips were with viajes tiede!
Opposite the hotel on a Thursday and Saturday is a market, well worth a visit.
You can catch the bus to playa de las Americas and Los Christianos from opposite the hotel. At both of the destination bus stations you can get connecting buses to anywhere on the island.
If you walk down to the sea front you can walk for miles both ways left and right. Gorgeous walks and lovely views across the various bays.
There are 2 sandy beaches within easy reach and a bit further walk along your normal volcanic sand beaches.
Siam park is within easy reach on the free bus but it's ¤32 euros per adult which is expensive so we gave it a miss!
Overall a fantastic hotel and resort would highly recommend to anyone looking to go to Tenerife! [Hide]

Stay number 15 for our friends and 5 for us and a couple in front of us at check in played top trumps and it was their 27th visit.

I think this sums up the hotel, many people return year after year which means all the things that are important to each of them remain consistent or improve and last but not least it is good value for money.

In our case it is all three, what is excellent still is and the positive developments within the dining areas which give many more bespoke eating options than our stay 2 years ago are in place and is still good value.

We would like to acknowledge that all the staff from the cleaners to the management engaged us with a smile and good morning/evening each and every time we passed them which makes for a pleasant stay.

big rooms, everywhere clean, happy employees, good dining options, warm weather, warm pools, happy hours - what more could you ask for. [Hide]

We really enjoyed our break at this hotel and will definately go back again. The cost of this holiday is very reasonable for this 5* hotel although it should be graded as an excellent 4*. It is only 15mins from the airport and the entrance is very impressive on the drive up. It's such a large hotel it is easy to get lost but you can always find yourself back to the extemely large glass fronted reception area. We had a south facing, pool and sea view room which was large with a large bathroom - this was a standard double room. Booking Half Board with clearblueseas.com gave us the best use of the 2 restaurants. In the morning we were in the large restuarant with amazing breakfasts to suit all and in the evenings we were placed in the more secluded restaurant, where you choose your meat or fish and it's cooked in front of you whilst you are choosing your first courses, this is next to the a la carte restaurant with lovely views.
The Clear Blue Seas and town are a few minutes walk down the road, it's all very clean and modern in this area, you just seem to keep wandering in the lovely warm sunshine and happen to find everything you could possibly need. Turn to the right at the bottom and you will find a lovely sandy beach(not black sand) There is a new shopping centre at the bottom too which is fantastic and clean.
There seems to be alot of new buildings going up but this did not cause us any problems.
Entertainment in the evening was good either in the bar area with the mad piano player or in the disco room for the shows. Some of the shows were in German. [Hide]

I have visited tenerife several times but never stayed in the costa adeje area and i must say i am very impressed with the area, the area is only allowing four and five star developments to be built to try and attract a better class of holiday maker and you can tell ,no larger louts to be seen anywhere.I booked a room in the costa adeje gran it is a five star rating hotel for a very reasonable price through clearblueseas.com and on arrival i was very impressed , staff were very helpfull , check in very quick. I had a higher floor pool view room which was excellent , the rooms are very large and excellent value for money. There are four swimming pools at the hotel including a rooftop pool and a childrens pool which all are very good.I only stayed on b&b basis which i would recomend as there are many restaurants around which are very good , if i had to pick negative points it would be i wish the hotel could be at the side of the beach instead of 600yrds away but then it would be twice the price .
